How can I top up my phone or another number?

You have the following options for topping up your phone:

To top up again, text TOPUP to 2345 with the amount you want to add and the last four digits of your payment card (for example, text TOPUP 10 1234 to add £10 using a card ending in 1234)

Top up automatically

It's simple to set up an automatic top up. You can even use it to stay topped up while you're abroad, or to top up someone else's phone.

Just download the  My Vodafone app  and choose  Top up  from the main menu and select  Auto Top up .

Alternatively, you can call  18829  (free from your Vodafone Pay as you go mobile) from the mobile you want to register and make your initial top up. Then choose how often you want your top up to automatically activate - weekly, monthly or every 30 days.

I can't top up my phone

Sorry you're having trouble topping up.

The easiest way to do so is in the  My Vodafone app . From the home screen:

Tap the Credit tile - this will take you to the Top up tab

From there you can choose your Top up amount and the Payment method you want to use.

How can I check my Pay as you go balance?

You have the following options for checking your Pay as you go balance:

Download the My Vodafone app to view and manage your data balance

Check online with My Vodafone

Dial *#1345# free from your Vodafone Pay as you go phone to see your balance on screen

Call 2345 free from your Vodafone Pay as you go phone to hear your remaining balance

If you don't have your mobile with you, call the Pay as you go credit line on 03333 048048 from any other UK mobile or landline (standard call charges apply)

How do I activate a top up voucher?

You can activate your top up voucher using one of the following options:

In the My Vodafone app

Online at My Vodafone

Call 2345 free from your Vodafone Pay as you go phone

How long do I have to redeem my top up voucher?

Your top up voucher will expire 12 months from the date on which you purchased it.

You should see the date on the voucher receipt you were given when you bought it.

Once you have redeemed the voucher the credit won't expire as long as your Vodafone SIM card remains active.

How can I manage my spending?

Keep an eye on your usage throughout the month

Use the My Vodafone app to see your usage, previous bills, and your current charges

You can also call 2345 free from your Vodafone mobile to check your remaining balance

Keep an eye out for texts from Vodafone

We'll text you when you're reaching the limit of your allowance

We'll text you again when you've exceeded your allowance

Depending on your plan, you'll receive additional notifications for every 250MB or 500MB used, until you spend £26 on out-of-plan data charges

Tips for controlling your monthly spend

In the  My Vodafone app  or in  My Vodafone  online, you can:

Add extra data to your monthly allowance

Move to a different plan which suits you better

Add a cap on your data usage

Why has my Pay as you go credit run out when I haven't made calls or sent texts?

If you're a Pay as you go customer that's still on one of our Simply plans rather than on Pay as you go 1 or a Pay as you go Bundle, you'll be charged £2 for the first 50MB of the day, and 10p for each MB thereafter.

Buying a Pay as you go Bundle could save you money. These come with generous data allowances to use for 30 days, and providing you don't use it all before the 30 days are up, you won't have to pay any daily data charges. It's really easy to  buy a bundle online  or on the  My Vodafone app

Alternatively, if you want to make sure you aren't using any mobile data and incurring any unexpected costs, you can simply  turn off data on your phone

What is a data pack and how do I buy one?

A data pack is a bundle of data that you can use with a Mobile Broadband device, such as a dongle or mobile WiFi router, to get online.

It's easy to buy a data pack for your Mobile Broadband device using the following methods:

Can I buy more than one data pack?

Yes, you can buy up to five data packs.

They'll start one after another - your next pack will start as soon the one you're using reaches the end date (after 90 days) or runs out of data.
